Point of Care Testing Associate (50% Part Time, Days)- Adena Lab

Under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager, this position oversees and maintains point of care testing; serving as a client resource to physician offices and the health system. This includes but is not limited to the review of quality controls (corrective action), training, troubleshooting, procedure development, instrumentation maintenance and basic compliance. This position also assists with compliance for all regulatory/accreditation standards and with Adena Health System policies.

Required Certifications:
Certified Medical Laboratory Technician
Preferred Certifications, Credentials and Licenses:
ASCP - American Society of Clinical Pathologists Certification as a Medical Technologist
Preferred
Experience:
3-5 years experience in Clinical Laboratory, one year Point of Care preferred
Job
Essential Functions:
Oversees the point of care testing systems to meet/exceed regulatory compliance, quality assurance, ensure accurate quality control/results and provides instrumentation assistance/troubleshooting corrective action up to and including the Team Lead or Manager.
Demonstrates effective and professional communication to ensure the test systems are properly functioning and suitably performed by testing personnel.
Is a laboratory liaison with nursing, physicians, employee/management regarding point of care testing.
Participates in maintaining complete and up to date procedures/policies reflecting hospital and regulatory compliance.
Provides new employee training (as assigned) and ensures ongoing competency is maintained.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
