Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For GS-11 you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09 grade level. For GS-09 you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07 grade level. For GS-07 you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05 grade level. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Applicants may qualify based on education or experience as described below:
For GS-11, applicants may qualify with an IT-related Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to an IT-related Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GS-09) or equivalent. For GS-09, applicants may qualify with an IT-related master's degree or equivalent graduate degree OR two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree OR one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GS-07) or equivalent. For GS-07, applicants may qualify with one full year of IT-related graduate level education OR superior academic achievement OR one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GS-05) or equivalent. AND In addition to the above requirements, all applicants must demonstrate IT-related experience demonstrating the following competencies:
Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving Education:
All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions. Graduate Education is successfully completed education in a graduate program for which a bachelor's or higher degree is normally required for admission. To be creditable, such education must show evidence of progress through a set curriculum, i.e., it is part of a program leading to a master's or higher degree, and not education consisting of undergraduate and/or continuing education courses that do not lead to an advanced degree. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work (degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks). Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled. Applicants must have completed (or expect to complete within 9 months) all the requirements for a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Applicants who have achieved superior academic standing must demonstrate it by one of the following three methods:
Class Standing:
Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses. Grade-Point Average:
Applicants must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 (B or better) as recorded on their official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; OR 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 (B+ or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum. Physical Requirements:
The work is both sedentary and active, requiring walking through out the medical center. Duties may require lifting, carting and carrying computer equipment such as monitors and printers weighing 20-40 pounds. Asking assistance from other specialist to help with lifting is encouraged. There may be limited crawling under desks and behind areas to gain access to equipment. Work Environment:
The work is performed in the facility's computer repair workroom and in various business and/or clinical settings. There will be instances where the employee will need to crawl under/over/behind desks, through various types of furniture to get to the device in need of repair. There is some exposure to circuitry of electronic equipment during bench-top or on-site analysis of problems or testing. In the latter situation, the employee must apply knowledge and reasonable precautions to and personal injury or damage to the equipment. Occasional travel may be required on short notice. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
