Security Assistant

Coordinates with local emergency services, city, state, and federal law enforcement officials during emergency situations. Monitors security surveillance cameras and detects criminal activity in progress, suspicious behavior patterns, observes suspects and known offenders. Appoints, certifies and validates employees before issuing identification cards. Provides advisory assistance to patients. Interprets policies and regulations. Conducts hourly radio identification code checks. Manages records associated with employee parking. Interprets and utilizes information to answer questions and compose correspondence. Identifies ways to improve work processes. Answers and addresses telephone calls appropriately. Prepares briefs, reports and/or presentations when essential to support proposals or decisions reached. Uses software and equipment required to print and issue identification cards. Performs other duties assigned . Work Schedule:

Must attend and pass the Law Enforcement Training Centers course ( 40 Hour Basic Dispatcher) within (1) one year of accepting position which is held in Little Rock Arkansas or Mobile Training Team destination. TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION AT THE GS-05 LEVEL YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Possess at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-4) in the Federal Service that has given you the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized experience includes:
monitoring security surveillance cameras and detecting criminal activity in progress; conducting hourly radio identification code checks; managing records associated with employee parking; and validating individuals before issuing identifications. NOTE:
Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. -OR- EDUCATION:
Have successfully completed four (4) years of education above the high school level in any field which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. NOTE:
One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. Have a combination of post-high school education and experience which may be used to meet total experience requirements at grades GS-5. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours of a course of study leading to a bachelor's degree is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirements. Two full academic years of study, or 60 semester hours, beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. (Copies of transcript(s) are required at the time of application. A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
